About Me

I have been practicing law for over forty years. I have been listed in Who's Who in American Law and in Who's Who in America. I was on the boards of the the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board and its property company for over a combined twenty-five years. I participated in a Peninsula Legal Aid program to help deserving people with legal assistance they were unable to afford. I have had the privilege of helping a lot of people. I am only licensed in Virginia, so I will only be able to help with Virginia issues that concern Virginia law. I have experience in many areas of the law, and will be able to assist you with most types of matters that are not currently or likely to involve going to court. I have a lot of experience concerning Estate Planning (for example, trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives), Separation and Divorce matters, Business matters, and Contract matters. I also have a lot of experience advising small businesses on how to get started, and on drafting or reviewing leases and contracts. If a matter we are working on looks like it will involve going to court, I will assist you in finding a lawyer to handle going to court.

· Estate Planning - Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directives (also know as a living will).

· Separation and Divorce - Separation Agreements and Uncontested Divorces.

· Business - New Businesses, Buying-Selling Established Business, and Business Agreements.

· Contracts and Leases - Draft Contracts, Review Contracts, Draft Leases, and Review Leases.

After practicing law in Newport News, Virginia, and the surrounding cities and counties for all of my time as a lawyer, in 2020, my wife and I moved to Louisiana. This makes it so that I am not able to go to court in Virginia, except on rare occasions. But, other than going to court, I am able to provide the same help, just remotely. Other than being able to meet in person, everything is the same, except that working remotely allows me to be able to significantly reduce my fees. After you email me, I will check to make sure I do not have a conflict of interest, and I will email you with instructions on how to get started.

When you email me:

  • Use an email address that only you can access. Do NOT use a shared email address.
